Product Description

A small-batch mezcal made from wild Papalote agave in Guerrero, this is an easy-drinking pour that tends to win over just about everyone who tries it! It features soft lactic notes alongside gentle fruit and herbal tones, with a clean, mineral finish that highlights the character of the region.

About Mezcalosfera

Mezcalosfera is the export label of the Oaxaca-based mezcal bar and educational venue Mezcaloteca (founded in 2010 by Silvia Philion). It specialises in limited-release, small-lot spirits sourced from remote and regional mezcaleros, aimed at sharing rare expressions of agave and terroir with an international audience.

About Mezcal Papalote

Maguey Papalote (Agave cupreata) is a wild agave endemic to the rugged slopes of Guerrero, Michoacán and Oaxaca in Mexico. It typically forms broad, spiky leaves with copper-tinged spines and matures slowly in semi-arid, high-elevation terrain. Because its core is dense with relatively low water content, mezcal produced from Papalote often exhibits firm minerality paired with herbaceous green notes, wild floral touches and subtle citrus peel accents.
