Product Description

A single-batch Espadín mezcal from maestro Cándido García Cruz in Miahuatlán, this is an easy-drinking expression that tends to win over everyone who gives it a try! It features a delicate salt-agave sparkle on the nose that leads into mineral-rich cooked agave and sweet sugar-cane tones, all wrapped in a smooth, refined finish.

About NETA

NETA is a craft-centred mezcal label that embodies the ethos of “the real deal” (its name literally means “the truth” in colloquial Mexican Spanish). Since 2012, it has worked closely with a cooperative of twelve palenqueros in the southern valleys and hills of Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, sourcing agave spirits rarely seen outside their home region. In doing so, NETA focuses on preserving traditional production and the authenticity of each bottling — for example, each batch list includes the number of bottles imported into each market as a mark of transparency.

About Mezcal Espadin

Espadín mezcal is made using the cultivated agave species commonly known as Espadín, which is the dominant agave in mezcal production in regions such as Oaxaca, Mexico. Because it matures in roughly eight to twelve years and offers relatively high sugar content, Espadín is more economical and widely used than many wild agave varieties. Flavor-wise, Espadín mezcals often display roasted-agave notes, hints of sweet potato or ripe fruit, mild smoke, and a balanced herbaceous backbone. These qualities make Espadín a versatile choice: excellent when enjoyed neat to appreciate the agave character, and also a solid substitute for other spirits in agave-driven cocktails.
