Product Description
A mezcal distilled by maestro Tomás García Cruz in Logoche, this Tepextate is an easy-drinking wild-agave expression that still shows remarkable depth. It features vibrant notes of citrus peel, fresh herbs, and mineral salinity, balanced by gentle smoke and a clean, lingering finish.
About NETA
NETA is a craft-centred mezcal label that embodies the ethos of “the real deal” (its name literally means “the truth” in colloquial Mexican Spanish). Since 2012, it has worked closely with a cooperative of twelve palenqueros in the southern valleys and hills of Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, sourcing agave spirits rarely seen outside their home region. In doing so, NETA focuses on preserving traditional production and the authenticity of each bottling — for example, each batch list includes the number of bottles imported into each market as a mark of transparency.
About Mezcal Tepeztate
Maguey Tepeztate (Agave marmorata) grows in steep, rocky terrain and is known for its long, winding leaves and extremely slow maturation, often taking two to three decades to reach harvest. According to Mezcalistas and Mezcal Reviews, its dense, low-moisture core contributes to mezcals with pronounced minerality, bold herbal and green-pepper notes, and a distinctive earthy intensity. These bottlings are often celebrated for their complexity and aromatic depth, reflecting the dramatic landscapes where Tepeztate thrives.
